The Los Angeles Dodgers will play host to the official kickoff party of LA Pride this year during their June 9 game against the Cincinnati Reds.
The Dodgers have hosted LGBT Nights for several consecutive years, each one growing in size and scope. This year the Dodgers will recognize Southern California LGBT athletes and others in sports who have been featured on Outsports. Billy Bean, vice-president and special assistant to the commissioner of Major League Baseball, will also be part of the festivities.
Actress, singer and former athlete Dot Marie Jones will sing the National Anthem, accompanied by members of the Gay Men’s Chorus and Trans Chorus of Los Angeles.
